  3.     I must say it is refreshing to watch Roseanne Barr's comedy
  4. program (VIDEO, Dec. 5). The Cosby Show depicts everyone's
  5. ideal family, but Roseanne shows a small slice of the imperfect
  6. reality we all share. The best part of the series is realizing
  7. that my own mother could utter some of the same things Roseanne
  8. says, because mothers in the same situation often think alike.

  12.     I prefer not to let my children watch a TV program in which
  13. it's O.K. to hurl insults and threats at your family, so long
  14. as they are cute and original, and it's funny to be very
  15. overweight. We will stick to The Cosby Show and Family Ties.
